Dr. Justin E. Palmer was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. In 2002, he graduated from Winter Park High School where he played lacrosse and was named an Academic All-American. Dr. Palmer was accepted to the University of Florida’s honors program. In 2007, he graduated with cum laude honors with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering.
Following graduation from the University of Florida, Dr. Palmer began a brief career as a chemical engineer in Lakeland. After shadowing many area dentists, including Dr. Rampi, Dr. Palmer decided to switch fields and pursue his interest in dentistry. He was admitted to the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2010 and entered the Air Force through the highly competitive Health Professions Scholarship Program in 2011.
While in dental school, Dr. Palmer received numerous honors and awards, including the Alpha Omega Award, which is given to the #1 ranking student in a class of 117 individuals. He was awarded his Doctorate of Dental Medicine with summa cum laude honors and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society in 2014.
As a Captain in the United States Air Force, Dr. Palmer served as a general dentist in the 1st Special Operations Dental Squadron at Hurlburt Field. He was named the 1 SODS Company Grade Officer of the Year for 2015. Dr. Palmer is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. With a passion for volunteer work, Dr. Palmer is an active participant in Remote Area Medical clinics, which provide free dental care to underserved areas.
Dr. Palmer is married to Erin Palmer, an occupational therapist and University of Florida graduate. They have three young sons: Aiden, Reese, and Jackson. In his free time, Dr. Palmer enjoys spending time with his family, Florida Gators sports, cooking, gardening, fantasy football, and golf.
