Invisalign

Looking to straighten your smile? Maybe you've already tried orthodontic treatment with braces and now want a subtler solution.

Invisalign® is a discreet alternative to metal braces. It uses clear plastic aligners rather than brackets and wires.

Skip the orthodontist and visit Venetian Pointe Dentistry in Orlando, FL. We can help you achieve gorgeous results with Invisalign.

How Does Invisalign Work?

The Invisalign system has become one of the most popular treatment options in orthodontics. It uses a series of custom aligner trays to exert gentle pressure on the teeth, gradually guiding them into proper alignment. You'll switch to a new set of clear aligners every one to two weeks as your treatment progresses.

4 Benefits of Invisalign Over Traditional Braces

Many patients who visit our Orlando, FL, practice prefer Invisalign aligners for these reasons:

More Comfortable

Traditional braces consist of a series of metal brackets connected with a metal archwire. Having metal in your mouth can lead to uncomfortable irritation of your lips and gums. Invisalign aligners are made of thin, smooth, flexible plastic, which eliminates the chance of any painful accidents, even if you play contact sports.

More Subtle

Many orthodontic patients who choose braces find themselves hiding their smiles throughout treatment. This isn't a problem with Invisalign. These clear aligners are virtually invisible against your teeth, and it's likely that others won't even notice you're wearing them. You can smile confidently in photos, at work, and more.

No Extra Maintenance

Practicing good oral hygiene is incredibly easy during treatment with Invisalign. If you wear braces, brushing and flossing properly becomes a challenge, as it's difficult to sufficiently clean around the wires and brackets. Invisalign doesn't change your oral hygiene routine because the aligners are completely removable. Just set them aside, brush and floss and normal, and put them back in afterward.

No Extra Orthodontic Visits

While orthodontists are specially trained in treatment with braces, both orthodontists and dentists can provide treatment with Invisalign. This allows you to straighten your smile and receive all the dental care you need in one convenient place—our practice in Orlando. Our dentists are qualified to provide Invisalign and have helped many patients like you enjoy transformative orthodontic results.

Our Patients Have Great Things to Say

"I drive from Ocala to come here because of the excellent work that they do. I have seen Dr. Palmer several times and would recommend Venetian pointe to everyone. Every staff member always has a smile on their face and makes you feel welcome.  Love this place!" Lindsey Justin, 5-Star Review

Starting the Invisalign Process A Step-by-Step Timeline

Invisalign treatment plans typically take about 12 months to complete. Your own timeline may differ based on your degree of misalignment.

Initial Consultation

Your dentist will examine your smile and discuss your goals and lifestyle to determine whether treatment with aligners is the best choice for you. We can also take this opportunity to identify any oral health issues that might affect your candidacy for orthodontic treatment and schedule procedures to rectify them.

Taking Impressions

Your dentist will take detailed impressions of your teeth, gums, and oral structures. These impressions will guide the creation of your aligners at an Invisalign lab. Back at our office, we'll have mapped out your custom treatment plan and can even give you a digital preview of what your ultimate results will look like.

Fabricating Your Aligners

It typically takes a few weeks for the Invisalign technicians to produce a new custom series of aligners.

Beginning Your Treatment

Once the Invisalign lab sends your aligners to our Orlando office, you'll return to pick them up. We'll begin with a fitting to ensure they rest comfortably in your mouth.

Checkups at Our Office

You'll be able to work through three or four sets of aligners before you need to return to us for a checkup. Your dentist will make sure your treatment is on course and provide the next three to four aligner sets before you leave.

A Custom Retainer Can Preserve Your Results

By the end of your orthodontic treatment, your teeth will have shifted into proper position, but your gums and jawbone may not have fully adapted. This can lead to your teeth becoming misaligned yet again. You can prevent this risk by wearing a retainer for the first few months after treatment. Your dentist can recommend a specific timeframe based on your individual case.

Our Orlando practice is pleased to offer Vivera® retainers, which are specially designed to make your results from Invisalign orthodontics last. Like clear aligners, they are smooth, subtle, and custom-fitted.

Will Insurance  Cover Invisalign?

Many insurance providers will contribute to the cost of Invisalign in the same way they cover traditional braces. However, many others will not provide any coverage for Invisalign treatment. Venetian Pointe Dentistry accepts most types of dental insurance, and a member of our Orlando team will be glad to help you determine your eligibility and maximize your coverage when applicable.

If your insurance doesn't cover Invisalign, or if you're concerned about high out-of-pocket costs, we accept financing through CareCredit®. CareCredit offers loans with little or no interest that are repayable in affordable monthly installments. With financing, you can achieve the straight smile you want without straining your budget.

We're Grateful for Our Wonderful Patients

"Venetian Pointe Dentistry is a terrific practice! I can’t recommend them highly enough! I’ve been going there for years and transitioned from Dr. Rampi to Dr. Palmer and both are truly excellent. There’s a pronounced emphasis on patient comfort, and the procedures are well-explained and are performed very efficiently and with minimum discomfort. There seems to be a great culture among the staff, and everyone seems very happy to be there. That translates into friendly, personalized care." Jay Trombly, 5-Star Review
